#Ati radeon 3000 driver not compatible with windows install
Uninstalled existing ATI drivers if you tried to install them and you were not successful ( I tried to install it multiple times unsuccessful )Ī) Under "Advanced Options" check "Allow unsigned driver installation on Vista X Edition" ( this should not be needed as drivers are signed but I did it anyways)ī) Under "Advanced Options" again. I think I found the problem and this is what I did in order to get it to workġ. Program to report issues with these drivers : List of supported Cards with the RC1 drivers : Remember : all drivers ( no matter from whom ) at this point today are BETA - time will tell and bring better ones, believe it. Also do not be confused by installing accidently Drivers for Vista Beta2 - they wont function on RC1. Some people had success by installing the Full Package ( containg 32 and 64s drivers in one setup-pack) rather than the solely platform drivers.
What I know is that in Ati's drivers full opengl is NOT enabled or present - and that is a major issue. See my Links belowĪlso see on Ati's site that they "provide these drivers AS IS without warranty and without support".Ī lot of people seem to have problems with these drivers, but it is definately not Vista's fault, because those Drivers from nvidia for example are full working ( for me ) and installation went as fine as could be. Nor Microsoft can help you with that, because it is third-party related. Please report these issues to Ati, as this has not really to do with Vista-Setup
